Why study BA (Hons) Business Enterprise?
In an ever-increasing competitive environment the need for innovation and uniqueness has made enterprise in business essential, which in turn has created a demand for managers and entrepreneurs who possess the knowledge and skills to succeed in the dynamic commercial environment. The BA Hons Business Enterprise will be an appealing choice for our Hong Kong students. Hong Kong has always been a dynamic city with a deep sense of entrepreneurship. This degree will help our graduates gain entry into careers in which a business and management qualification is sought. Alternatively, our graduates may also pursue ambitions in establishing their own business.
Aims of BA (Hons) Business Enterprise
i) To develop students’ knowledge, understanding and skills needed to apply an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
ii) To develop the students’ capacity to evaluate the effectiveness of alternative enterprise approaches to business and to appreciate the changing nature of the contemporary commercial environment.
iii) To describe relevant theories and concepts and to apply them in relevant entrepreneurial settings.
iv) To understand key commercial, political and economic contexts in which enterprise cultures can develop and flourish.
v) To create and critically evaluate business plans with particular reference to their success in impacting on, and meeting the needs of, specific stakeholders within an enterprise culture.
vi) To develop and demonstrate technical, creative, supervisory and managerial industry-specific and transferable skills in the promotion of professional practice and in preparation for a career in business enterprise.
vii) To develop skills in research and analysis within the setting of business enterprise management.
