Wales has its own unique natural landscape, culture and language which are different from England. University of Wales was found in 1872 whereas Wales National Library was found in 1845.
Cardiff is the capital city and the largest city and county in Wales. As well as being a political city, it is Wales's centre for business, education, sport, tourism, culture, media and government. The population of the area is 300,000. Cardiff is a relatively flat city bounded by hills on the outskirts to the east, north and west. Its geographic features were influential in its development as the largest coal port. Cardiff was a small town until the early 19th century and came to prominence as a major port for the transport of coal following the arrival of industry in the region.
Another famous city in Wales is Aberystwyth which is located next to Cardigan Bay. It is a coastal city which has beautiful landscape and modern climate. It once became a busy port which allowed Welsh migrating to the US. It takes about 4 hours to travel by train from Cardiff and Manchester. The urban population is around 17,000. In spite of its small population, there are shopping mall and entertainment facilities in the city centre. The quality of living and convenience are both guaranteed. Aberystwyth is an important enlightenment town apart from Cardiff. It became a tourist destination and agricultural services centre in the late 19th century. As a result, it is now a major cultural centre in Wales.
Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland

Nothern Ireland's population is around 1.7 million. It covers 13,000 square kilometer. The capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast which has a population of 500,000.
